I was in HHC commo platoon in Tay Ninh and Dau Tieng in 1967 and 1968. Plt Sgt was Kline. Some of the players were Dean, Holscher, Richards, and many others, I'll probably remember later. We hung out with signal guys, Gilbert, Bussey, etc. There was an AirForce observer named Woods (Woody) that supplied us with all our contraband (inclusive of the fairer sex). Maybe, I should have joined the Air Force. Then I would have missed out on C-rats, humping the rubber with wire, riding shotgun, and prayers that the wire wouldn't be breached. All that fun stuff.
Definitions: "WIRE" 1. that which you lay or repair 2. That which separated the enemy from the bunkers 3. a person who provides contraband (Woody) 4. something layed by Charlie to trip or blow you up 5. bad news to loved ones back home
