Ok. Top says you have 30 minutes to get to the check point to ride "shotgun" on a two day convoy. What was the first thing you thought about taking?

Having been on many convoys as a driver, shotgun and convoy security MP, I can say with certainty that there are several must have items that come to mind.
Drinks/water, ice (whenever possible), cigarettes (finally quit 6 yrs ago), C's, a clean weapon and a full bandolier of 16 ammo.
Drive on driver!
