City Boy vs. Big Snake

I would like to know what experiences you guys had with snakes. My first encounter with what I think was a cobra was very embarassing. Three heavily armed buddies to back me up and we all "booked" from our bunker. It ain't like in the movies. I understand that a snake can raise itsself one third of its body lenghth. That made my monster nine feet. Shudder!

I think bunkers and snakes went together over there, 1966 at Lai Khe I had a fellow in my squad go into a bunker, he came out much faster than he went in. From that time on this fellow even while under attack would not go into a bunker
