Dear Shortimer Sam, I am *JUST* asking a question.... If a person was in the CIA and the Army how possible is it to get the records of that person? Not the ones that everyone can get... but the records, which are not readily available? If the persons family was told they were in x location and they were actually in another location is it possible to find that out? And a totally separate question..... Is it *normal* for someone to truly believe that their loved one is not gone? Even if their loved one was brought home? Even if their loved one was exhumed and found to be that person (via dental records)? Maybe it's because no one speaks of it. More likely because it hurts *SO* much. :-/ errr... and lastly, I don't mean to be a pain in the butt, or hurt anyones feelings. I just want to know what *REALLY* happened.#nosmileys

It is NOT unusual for families to want the truth of what happened. Their soldiers deserve for the truth to be told...and the families certainly deserve to know. Our family has a very similar situation that "found us." Only our casualty's dental charts absolutely do not match the remains we have, confirmed by an anthropologist. Department of the Army is still refusing to acknowledge that fact to date. We know better and are still pursuing that acknowledgement. If you also had remains exhumed and truly have questions of what you were told of your casualty's fate, we would love to hear from you.
