Looking through a bunch of my dad's pict's I came across 2 of the same one (2 diff. sizes). On the small one was written..."my bird--the last one" and on the bigger one was "Blackjack". Could anyone tell me what Blackjack meant??? Can't seem to find anything on the net. My dad served in the infantry. Thank you in advance for any help you may have.

amiller, BlackJack was the nickname of the 4th Avaition Battalion of the 4th ID.
Are you having any luck locating people who served with your Dad? I hope you find someone.

Frisbee....thanks for the info. I've had no luck finding anyone who served with my dad yet. Have sent to the NPRC requesting my dad's service records and am also getting help applying for my dad's vietnam orders. Posted in the TAPS section at the Cacti site....with pictures. Maybe someone will recognize him.
