Gary, Its not tough, but it does take time ( you know the military).
To start, go to the VA a request form (SF) 180. Complete it and mail it to: NATIONAL PERSONNEL RECORDS CENTER 9700 Page Boulevard St. Louis, MO 63132
This form allows you to get a copy of your military records so you can see what information the Army has on you.
