D Trp. 1/9 1st Cav Div (AMBL).

John I just finished going through your unit registry. I was looking for my husband's unit (S/Sgt. Clyde H. O'Brien) with no such luck. I have been through the lost and found postings too on another website. I have also been through the 1st Cav. 1/9 Links and there is no mention of my husbands unit at the time he was there. I have had no luck finding troopers that were there when he was there. Of the few that I have talked to, only 1 could give me any information. Clyde was in D Trp. 1/9 1st Cav Div (AMBL). He arrived in Nam May of 1966 and was KIA January 20, 1967. I have not been able to find out just where he was stationed or anything. I would also like to know just what AMBL is. I know what it stands for but just what did an AMBL unit do? If you can be of any help to me please let me know.
