I was with hq company 14th Btn between 8-70 to 7-71, I ran a dozer, spent the first four months tdy to c co on the Barbara Road and then came Dewey Canyon II and we in that from begining to end ,I didnt realize what a big deal that was until recently, when that was over I worked out of Quanq Tri until I left.

My name is Frank Reyes, I serves in Charlie Co. from 69/71,As part of my 1st Tour in Nam. I am looking for a Dozer Operator who was TDY to Charlie Co. on Oct.17,1970 when our entire Company was Ambushed on Barbara road. I have been looking for this guy for 35 years. I was the Pointman that day, when he got hurt. I see this guys face every day, I need to talk to him. If you know this gentleman, Please aksed him to contact me,Via the internet or by phone. Hello Brothers I was in Delta Co. 69 - 70 . We're all getting older and it's hard to remember all. I was crushed with a water tank broke loose in a 2.5 ton truck . A fellow army friend named Jerry Meres or Mares was driving . We were on our way to a Holiday show . I was with Herve Velasques . Jerry put the truck in granny gear and popped the clutch , ( we were on a steep hill) the 2 front chains holding the water tank that was about half full snapped. Squashing us between the tank and tailgate . I only remember and MP jeep behind us . I was waving my arms on my last breath . Jeep pasted us and cut Jerry off . Thus making the tank slide forward. I remember the calming white light and a rush of air into my lungs. Now I'm at the point where I can hardly walk anymore and the Medical records I need are lost in time. There were 5 of us in that truck on that unfaithful night. I have no memory of what happened to me for the following wks. If anyone remembers this or has anything to do or say please don't hesitate to fill me in. Sure would help me (head wise) to know what happened.
