Dak To Description: The following is an edited version from the weekly Vietnam Communique column in the 21 Sep 1968 issue. A platoon from D/299th Eng Bn recently completed the construction of two revetments for Chinook helicopters near their company area at Dak To. The primary purpose of the 60-foot-long protective facilities is to house the large double-rotor aircraft when they are stranded there overnight due to adverse weather conditions.
