Last night my nightmares were not about death. All night long I was trying to get my sling adjusted on my M-16. You know how we put it on upside down so we could support the rifle with the shoulder and still have it in a ready to fire position. All night long I adjusted and re-adjusted. First it was too long then too short, then the buckle would slip. Never did get it right.
