Hi I'm trying to find any of the guys that may have been with my husband during his Vietnam Tour. He was Co B, 1/58th Inf, 197th Inf Bde, 101st arbn div in Vietnam, Went back to Ft. Benning, GA after Vietnam to teach Jump school, until discharge in 1971.
First, I think it would do him good to be able to talk to some of the guys from his unit. He has undergone a liver transplant for Hep C, which we are having to prove happend as a result of "bloody" war, blood transfusions he had while hospitalized in Vietnam, and Martin Army Hospital in Ft. Benning. We have done everything plus some for the DVA and then they add something else to it. I'm so tired of fighting for everything he and all you guys deserve. But..... I will not give up the fight. But any help from anyone is a start. This is my husband's e-mail address, but I maintain it for him, most of the time.
It's amazing how records that they probably never kept, they expect us to be able to find. If I can find other veterans that may have known Billy and help me get his benefits through the VA, would be an answer to prayers.
May God Bless Each and Every one of you and your families.
