Major Saunders: Havent heard about you for over twenty years....I heard that you had died....guess not..you can't keep an old air b. down. Goodluck trying to get lost service records....I've had my senitor trying for the past five years...no luck. Try writing to John Oak at cent.records in wash. he is your best bet. What have you been up to ol boy? ? Last I heard about you was a news story about you geeting caught driving a wheelchair while drunk Never learnt did you. One thing that I can say is that you were the best rescue jock...drunk, stoned or sober? ?(which you never were). I'll contact the old croud and pass on your request. Major... Long time no hear from. Just who is questioning your involvement and statuce within the army? I've know you for over 40 years.....of which I was stationed with you three times. You were one of the best air rescue jocks that I have ever met....nerves so steel (Or too dam drunk to give a shit!!!!) One who never left a downed pilot behind. Give me the name and address of the AH who is spreading the shit. I'll put them in their place!!!!!! As far as getting your records....tough luck. All forgien nationals who served in Nam were purged in the late 80's. I understand you took a buy-out in 1984. If I can be of any help don't waste any time in asking....just as you gave 200% in helping our boys we are ready to finily try and pay back the huge debt that is owed to you. Good luck Major. I'll pass the info along to other vets. H.C.Banks PS: I hear that your little brother has started a new family....at 46 and having twins.....I feel that he took one dive too many. HC
