David Teke was born Oct. 19, 1947 and served in the Army Dec, 4 1967 through Dec. 4 ,1969 with a tour in Vietnam. Contracted Disease Illness Disability. He was a SP4 Cannoneer with the 1st Inf. Div., B Btry 1/7th Arty, 4&28th Arty from Ft. Sill, Okla. David was awarded the NDSM, VNSM, RVNSC w/date, ACM w/1 device, /3 ARMY Presidential Unit Citations. His hometown was Lawrenceburg, Indiana graduating from Lawrenceburg Consolidated High School in 1965. David says he had a GOOD Tour, Unit Hit 18 times, over ran 3 times. Met Burl Ives. A lot of stories remembered? Returning Stateside was questionable? Taking 25 plus years to be PROUD OF my Service, then start getting involved with / for the Military Again. Now a member of several Organizations, and working for the Military Service People, and working 15 Moving WALLS. Speaking to High School History Classes about Vietnam. I have met and become friends with Several Notable Veterans, and Org.'s. I'm HONORED to be able to met these Great People, and do this !!!!!!!! I'm PROUD of them, AND PROUD TO BE ONE VIETNAM VETERAN.
