When it comes to military decorations there are two ways to verify the individuals DD214 and or find a registery that requires the individual to prove his metals are legit. Sadly many wanna be Vietnam Vets and now Gulf War wanna bes fake their military history its not easy to stop but if they can be proved they face 10,000 dollar fine and possible imprisonment.
